San Francisco 49ers – Great Players and Coaches Lead To Superbowl Dreams

Updated: January 7, 2020
The San Francisco 49ers have never had a tight end like George Kittle. In just his third season in the league, Kittle has established himself as the most complete player at his position and earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2019. In fact, he was so dominant this year that his grade of 95 was the highest score ever given to a tight end by Pro Football Focus. At 79.4%, Kittle had the second-highest catch rate for any player with at least 50 targets. You likely were unawares. Offered an internship with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016, Sowers was hired as a seasonal offensive assistant for the 49ers in 2017 and moved into a full-time role in 2018. “I was looking for a full-time job and wanted to prove I was valuable,” she told in training camp last summer. The San Francisco 49ers might be a bit hesitant to send the Arizona Cardinals a thank-you card for electing to take quarterback Kyler Murray first in the 2019 NFL Draft, especially if Murray turns into a crazy-good weapon the Niners end up having to face twice a year within the NFC West.
