UConn may go beyond patches in support of BLM

University of Connecticut officials have discussed creating helmet stickers, warm-up T-shirts and altering athletic uniforms in other ways to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement. ''My plan is to ask the Administration if we will allow teams to participate,'' Daniel Glinski, the school's assistant athletic director for equipment services, wrote to other members of the department that afternoon. Chris Stasaitis, the equipment manager for the basketball program, wrote that he would prefer something less permanent than a uniform patch.
