''My plan is to ask the Administration if we will allow teams to participate,'' Daniel Glinski, the school's assistant athletic director for equipment services, wrote to other members of the department that afternoon. Chris Stasaitis, the equipment manager for the basketball program, wrote that he would prefer something less permanent than a uniform patch.
